Ford Retail operates from over 53 locations across the UK and is the largest Ford owned Dealer Group in the world. We trade within the UK through the Dagenham Ford, Iveco and London Mazda in the South, Brunel Ford in the West, Polar Ford in the North, Heartlands in the Midlands.

Annually, we sell over 40,000 new and 30,000 used vehicles and account for 15% of all Ford retail car registrations in the UK.

In addition, Ford Retail sells over 1 million combined service and bodyshop labour hours each year with parts sales turnover approaching £70 million.

History

- July 1923 Polar Motor Company incorporated trading as a seller and repairer of motor vehicles

- Nov 1998 Ford Motor Company acquired a 49% share of Polar Motor Company to form the Polar Motor Group Joint Venture with Jardine Motor Group

- Mar 1999 Polar Motor Group acquired Dagenham Motors Group plc

- Dec 2002 Acquisition of Birmingham (Heartlands Ford), Bristol (Brunel Ford) and Stockport (Atlantic Ford) CMA’s by Ford of Britain to form Ford Retail UK.

- May 2004 Acquisition by Ford of remaining 51% share in Polar Motor Group from Jardine Motor Group.
